The japanese driving school and obtaining driver's license
There are two kinds of Japanese Driving School, those that are accredited by the Public Safety Commission and those that are not. To be accredited depends on the administration that is based on Japanese traffic laws.
In order to get a regular motor vehicle license, you have to pass the driving and written examination at a specified driver's license center. But even for a Japanese these examinations are not that easy to pass. That is why many people commute to accredited driving school so that they will be exempted from the driving examinations if they graduate from one, and they can obtain the driver's license from the driver's license center by just passing the written examination. And conversely, they will be comfortable and acquire safe driving skill by attending accredited driving school. Our driving school have been accredited by the Public Safety Commission since 1961.
Our international class officially started on April 4, 2008 with several students coming from the Philippines, USA, UK, Indonesia, Nepal and Nigeria and others. Attending to them are our competent and friendly instructors.
Re: enrollment procedure
Our driving school now is in the process of streamlining the overall enrollment admission procedure to improve our services for the English-speaking foreign residents who are planning to enroll here. We will start to administer an English Ability Test to determine one’s English knowledge level to make it easier for us to device the appropriate approach suited to a student’s learning level to enable him or her understand the lectures more accurately and eventually pass the driver's license test easily and in a shorter period of time.
English ability test (passing score is 80% or more)
At first, all applicants take the English Ability Test. This test includes basic words focusing on synonyms/antonyms and ability to understand sentences. The entirety of the test is 30 minutes.

- - You can decide on the date of the test
- - Its results will be known that instant. If you've passed, you can take the enrolment procedure right away but if you've failed, you have to take the seminar as a precondition for enrollment.

1 Entrance Qualification

- (2) Eye sight / Left and Right more than 0.3 Both more than 0.7
- (3) Can distinguish traffic light colors (Green, Yellow, Red)
2 Necessities for Application

- - Certificate of Residence which include your nationality, number of residence card, and period of stay etc. (Jumin-hyo).

3 Lesson Schedule
When you apply, we will make your lesson plan (driving lesson and lecture) that suit your schedule for every stage (stage 1 and stage 2).

- - We'll devise a lesson plan that will suit your schedule.
Includes insurance plan. (For those who are below 19 years old)
- - No need to pay an additional fee even if time exceeded the regulation as long as application is made before the start of driving lesson.
- - Review lesson is only free for an hour even if you can't pass the driving test.
- - If you are thirty years old and over, you will be charged an additional fee according to your age. Please refer to the table below.

2. Your driving and lecture lessons schedule is also changed if you have exceeded the required period to finish the whole driving course.

5. Notice
- - If you wish to cancel your driving lesson reservation, please call us until 7:00 p.m. the day before. A cancellation fee of ¥ 2,000 will be charged for failure to do so.
- - Without the insurance plan you will be asked to pay ¥ 5,170 per hour if you exceed the regular practice time.
- - Please be informed that the use of colored contact lenses, define contact lenses, tinted glasses, and sunlight sensor sunglasses are strictly prohibited when taking driving lesson at this driving school.
- インターナショナルクラスでMT免許はとれますか？
Is it possible to take MT vehicle's license in your International class? - インターナショナルクラスはATのみのお取り扱いとなります。
Sorry no. Our driving school's lesson conducted in English is only for the AT vehicles. If you wish to have MT license, take AT license first and then enroll again to acquire the addtional 4 hours driving lessons and final driving test. - 外国人なのですが、すぐ手続きはできますか？
